DWQA QuestionsCategory: QuestionsSitting at table and someone drank alcohol
Yasser Al-Baghdadi asked 2 months ago

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I met an old friend who is christian in NYC. He invited me for lunch, I agreed and  had hoped he does not order alcohol. Unfortunately he ordered an alcohol containing drink which was served at our table that we ate at.
I did not have the courage to ask him not to order alcohol. Is there anything I should do in addition to asking for forgiveness?
Thank you.

We hope this message finds you in good health and high Islamic spirit.
It is sufficient to ask Allah (SWT) for forgiveness with the sincere intention not to repeat it.
