Salaam Alaikum,
What is the view of Sayyid al-Khoei r.a when it comes to the analysis of the hadith surrounding the incident of the burning of the door of Sayyida Fatima s.a by Umar and Qunfud by the order of Abu Bakr and the subsequent taking of Imam Ali a.s in chains to the masjid to pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr?
I have done much research on this issue and have found a lot of issues with the authenticity and the plausibility of such events that they took place. As I am a religious speaker who gives talk, it is important for me to be comfortable that what I am saying is valid, therefore it is important for me to know about the view of Sayyid al-Khoei r.a given he is of the greatest experts in the field of hadith studies, on this issue.

Sheikh Jawad Kubar Tabrizi ( Marja-e-Taqlid) , a prominent student of Sayyid Al-Khoei recorded the above answer from Sayyid Al-Khoei in his book Sirat al-Najat.

You have said that I was dragged like a camel with a nose string to swear allegiance (to Abu Bakr at Saqifah). By the Eternal Allah, you had intended to revile me but you have praised me, and to humiliate me but have yourself been humiliated. What humiliation does it mean for a Muslim to be the victim of oppression so long as he does not entertain any doubt in his religion, nor any misgiving in his firm belief!
