“Ruling 1451 in Islamic Laws of Ayatullah al-Sistani states:
If a follower inadvertently raises his head from rukūʿ before the imam, then based on obligatory precaution, in the event that the imam is in rukūʿ, he must go back into rukūʿ and raise his head with the imam; in this case, performing the additional rukūʿ, which is a rukn, does not invalidate the prayer……………………….”
The ruling, therefore, stipulates that performing extra ruku inadvertently in a congregation prayer does not invalidate the prayer.
QUESTION.
In the second rak’at of Salatul Jumu’ah, the Imam after performing ruku, stands up does qunoot, and then goes to sajdah.
Instead of going to sajdah with the Imam I inadvertently (by mistake), bent down to perform ruku, and realizing my mistake, I immediately followed the Imam to perform sajdah with the Imam.
Since I unintentionally performed extra ruku, is my Jumu’ah Salat valid?

أعوذ بالله من الشيطان الرجيم

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Based on your specific question and information provided.

From the Jurisprudence Perspective:

If you did not complete the ruku, if you immediately realized your mistake and if you immediately followed the prayer leader, inshAllah your Salat is valid.  والله العالم  (and Allah(awj) Knows best)
