Salam,
If I overpay khums is the extra amount considered zakat? Is there any benefit or reward from Allah for paying more than what is due?

Hope you are in good health and highly Islamic spirit .
There is no doubt that Sadaqa and Zakat are reasons to gain THAWAB. May Allah( S.W) accept your good deeds.
