Mut’ah (Fixed Time Marriage)

2430. Contracting a fixed time marriage with a woman is in order, though it may not be even for the sake of enjoyment.

Can you clarify, the trend is that people are not getting permanent married and using mut’ah as the islamic answer to the  secular man and women relationships ( girlfriend and boyfriend) mainly after divorce.
Alarming thing is west muslims women after divorce use it. later they complain that people don’t want to marry a divorced women who did many mutah. This is because of lack of education. in the secular communities this is not taboo because they are used to many girlfriends and boyfriends – please educate the muslim youths.
Is it something advised or permanent marriage is preferred in islamic guidance.
Who is responsible to  educate people so they don’t abuse the islamic law and make a mockery of it?

From the Islamic Fiqh / Jurisprudence perspective. A Virgin Muslim girl or a divorced / widowed who’s Marriage contract was completed but the marriage was not consummated ( Virgin ), need the permission of her Father (Wali / Guardian) for Marriage.

For a divorced or widowed who’s marriage was consummated ( Not a Virgin) , it is Mubah ( Optional ).

Mubah means it is optional or at their discretion. However, they need to consider many other factors regarding their future and institution of Marriage. As they the Mukallaf ( the responsible person for their decisions and actions) are the owner of their decision / action / consequences (intended and unintended). What is prudent or preferred is up to the Mukallaf to decide with the assistance of her family and profound understanding of  Islamic Belief (Aqeeda) / Islamic Ethics/Morals.

Educating the youths and informing them of the consequences of their actions is the responsibility of the parents, family (immediate or extended) , Islamic scholars in their lectures.

Since Islam is for ALL times and All conditions.  Fiqh opinion offers a solution to a need. Mukallaf is responsible for their intentions.
