Since we do Duhr and Asr prayers together. Can both the prayers be done after the the time for Duhr prayer has passed and still considered being performed in time.

You may offer Salat al-Dhuhr after the adhan of Dhuhr (midday), followed by Salat al-Asr. The time for both prayers continues until five minutes before sunset.
