Good Afternoon,My husband is an American. He converted to Islam over 10 years ago to be able to marry me as Muslim girl. Life has been changing and he has chosen to have nor practice any religion and is not Muslim anymore. I understand he is Haram to me. Therefor,We are getting divorced respectfully, however I am wondering how this divorce process is going to be, since he will not come to any legal/local religious office.I appreciate your guidance .

As Salaamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
We pray this message finds you in the best of health and highest of Iman.
If he declares that he is not a Muslim anymore, Islamically, the marriage dissolves immediately. Legally, you have to consult a lawyer.
