In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Respected H.E. Sheikh Fadhel Al-Sahlani, As-salamu alaykum.
I am writing to you seeking urgent Fiqh guidance and practical community assistance. I have been living in the United States since 2021. Due to my circumstances, I have been separated from my wife, Rida, and my two daughters, who are all back home in India.
Living in this society alone for so many years has created a severe hardship. I do not subscribe to any specific sect; I am simply a Muslim who strives to follow the Quran and the Sunnah. My primary goal is to protect my faith, lower my gaze, and strictly avoid falling into any haram activities.
Because I am struggling with the natural needs of a man in prolonged isolation, I am seeking a permissible, Halal path.
My questions for your eminence are:
1. Under your jurisprudence, is Nikah Mut’ah permissible for a Muslim in my exact situation to protect himself from sin?
2. If it is permissible, does the Al-Khoei Foundation or the local community offer any practical assistance, matchmaking, or trusted contacts to help facilitate this in a strictly Halal and valid manner?
I am seeking the safety of a Halal contract rather than falling into the sins of the society around me. I would be deeply grateful for your fatwa on my situation, and any practical help your office can provide.
JazakAllah Khair for your time and guidance.
