Salam
My mother when she passed away left the house to be shared between my brother , sister and myself.My brother is now buying my sister’s and my share
I plan to do build a flat with the amount I inherit
Do I have to pay khums before using the money for the flat .

Salamun Alaikum! Hope you are doing well. We are sorry for replying you late.
Khums is not wajib on the inherited property in your case especially if you spent the money to buy a house for living before the end of the year.
