Husband not allowing to have childCategory: QuestionsAuthor "questions@al-khoei.org"Husband not allowing to have child

Assalam o Alaikum
I have been married for three years. It is my husband’s third marriage, and he has four daughters from his previous marriages. The daughters live with us, and I take care of them. In the beginning, my husband practised coitus interrupts to prevent pregnancy. He told that he wants a son now. Last year, I got pregnant, but had to undergo abortion due to medical complications. We had been trying for a child for some months, but now my husband says he doesn’t want to have children with me. The reason behind this is some misunderstanding of my husband, as he thinks I am like his previous wives. I want to have children, but I am being denied from this right. What does our fiqh say about this?

Salamun Alaikum! Hope you are doing well. We are sorry for replying you late.

I suggest you to improve the relationship and try to fix the misconceptions about each other between you.
Our Sharia does not obligate any of you to have or not to have children
