Salaam Aleikom, I have a question regarding marriage.
If a Muslim couple married according to the law of the country they lived in (for example, American, Swedish or British law) but were not married according to sharia, and islam, is their marriage halal in Allah’s eyes? Is it an acknowledged marriage in Islam, according to the Quran and Ahlul bayt (as)?
